“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own” (1 Corinthians 6:19 )
What does wellness coaching have to do with discipleship? Christians are called to be good stewards of all creation, including our bodies. Making unhealthy food and lifestyle choices hinder how physically active you can be to serve others. Moreover, poor health leads to higher health expenditures, such as medical treatment and insurance expenses. There are preventative measures we can implement in terms of nutrition and activity level to help maintain optimal health.
Scripture tells us to not feed our fleshly desires and this includes the quality and quantity of food we consume too if we are given the choice. We cannot extend the length of our lives as that is in God’s sovereign hands, but we can do our best to live the years that we have been gifted with quality health and vitality.
Knowledge is power and BCDC’s Fit to Serve Health Coaching aims to provide helpful and practical coaching to help you regain your health, wellness, and fitness to not only perform activities of daily living with joy but also to be able to be unhindered physically to serve and disciple others.
